Merry Christmas wish

On this Christmas Eve morning, I would like to wish all my friends a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday. I would like to report that I did get the stitching done on The Season of Rest pillow. Now to stitch it onto the fabric and around the pillow this morning. I really like the fabric I found at JOAnn's.
As you know it is a gift for my daughter this Christmas. I did the spring for her birthday in April. Now only have the last two to stitch for her.
This is my last give a way win from Victorian Motto Sampler. 25 skeins of wonderful floos. I am now deciding what to use it on. This year has been a great year for wins from friends and their blogs.

Watch for a give a way from me next week to end the year. I now have 140 followers in my first year of blogging.
Merry Christmas and Happy stitching to all.

Weekly Update

What a week, good to see it come to an end. I started off last Sunday with a sinus and allegy problem.
Then a bad cough came. I went to the Doctor on Tuesday, left with medicene. Then on Thursday, more cough med. I did work all work, but came home each evening and went to bed very early. The really bad thing was I just could not pick up my needle and do any stitching. What a bummer! At last the med is kicking in and I feel better today. I even stitch on Sat some. I am trying to finish LHN Season of Rest for my daughter a Christmas Gift. At least I have another week.
The good things that kept my spirits were the two gifts I receiving in the mail this past week. First, my Secret Santa gift(Friendly Stitches) arrived and it is now under the tree ready to open Christmas morning.
Then I received my Oct Calender Girl gift from Karen. Her first gift is still floating in the postal service somewhere. She sent me some pretty fabric and thread from Sparklies.co.uk.
This week I will be better and get back to my rotation of stitching which was missed a lot.
Here is a picture of my progress on the LHN Season of Rest and the gift from Karen.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Weekly Update

Merry Christmas to all my stitching friends. This week has been busy with work, grandkids and a little stitching. I attended a tax seminor on Monday and Tuesday( I work for a CPA as a tax preparer), the Thurday night attended my 17 year old grandson's Choir concert. The concert was great, the kids are so good. I have my 6th grade granddaughter's first band concert Monday night. She is in the percussion section(drums, bell, and etc). I also got elected to hem her concert skirt for her as it was too long for this year. I also completed Christmas Cards(12) for a party this afternoon. I did find time to do a little stitching. Also stitching on a model for a stitching friend in California.
Here are pictures of my progress this week on my WIP's.

Weekly Update

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and now on to shopping and getting ready for the Christmas Holidays. It is my favorite Holiday of the year. Shopping, parties, and being with family and friends.
I had Thanksgiving lunch at my apartment with everyone bringing something to add to the lunch.
We had Ham, sweet potatoes, green been cassolerole, salad and of course pecan pie and apple pie.
There were 9 of us enjoying the afternoon. I did get to give my Nephew his belated birthday gift, his birthday was Oct. 3. He liked The Old West that I had done for him. I am posting a picture of him with it. Also, pictures of my progress of the week and the new Season of Rest -LHN pillow. If I can finish it, it will be a Christmas gift for my daughter. I had done and given her the Season of Hope in April for her birthday. I have also started a model crossstitch piece for a stitching friend from California. We are doing a new picture church directory and my sign off picture is the one that will be in it.
