Weekly Updated blog

Here it is Monday, I lost the weekend somewhere. It just went to fast. At least today we lost power and was able to leave work at 3pm today. It was nice to come home early and catch up a little.
I have now finished a Fall ornament for an exchange with Friendly Stitchers Group and will get it in the mail tomorrow. Thursday evening, my granddaughter, Anna and her 7th grade B Volleyball won their 2nd vollyball match. Then on Saturday they played in a tournement and came in 4th. They played very good although. I did put a few more stitchers in some of my WIPs and here are pictures of my progress for the week.

Weekly Update

This week brought a little rain, really good thunderstorms, that brought the heat down into almost really nice weather. Hope all of you have had a great week and had time to stitch or whatever life brought your way. My granddaughter, Anna, made the 7th grade volleyball team and had her first game Thursday evening. Of course I was there. Anna's team, Briscoe Junior High, won 2 of the 3 matches from Reading Junior High(another junior high in our district). Good start for them.
I did get one picture as the girls were warming up.
My stitching for the week helped get a little further on some of my WIPs. I am also stitching two ornament for exchangs and will show them when my partners receive them.
Here are pictures of my progress on the WIPs for the week.

Weekly Update

Good morning all. The weather has finally dropped to 65 degress this morning and only suppose to get to the middle 80s today. It is nice. What a busy week, work and family and friends. My grandson turned 18 on Monday and we had his party on Saturday. He had several of his friends in to help him celebrate. Then my granddaughter, Anna, made the 7th grade vollyball team at her Briscoe Junior High. Ever with all that was going on, I did get a little stitching done. I have started two ornaments for exchanges, so will not show them until my exchange partners receive them. One of my readers asked what kind of rotation I follow. At the beginning of 2011, I joined a Challenge WIP. I stitched on 15 different WIPs. Since a number of them were series, I am still stitching on some of them. This year I have added a few new pieces that I have started stitching for gifts and exchanges. I stitch each day on a different WIP which works for me. Ever if the progress is small, each piece is growing. I so enjoy all of your comments and it is so neat to know that somemany of you enjoy seeing my progress of WIPS grow. Here are pictures of my week:

Hope all of you are having a good weekend. Here in the states we are having a 3 day weekend as Monday is Labor Day Holiday for us. My daughter is out of town, so I am house sitting and enjoying my 2 grandchildren. Christopher started his senior year in high school and Anna started 7th grade, junior high this past monday. Here are their first day of school pictures as they left for school.

Also, got my Texas Map backed and only need to slipstitch the top and add the rope hanger.
It will be Christopher's birthday gift as he turns 18 on Monday.

I got a good report from the Doctor's last Monday. The toe/foot is healing great and now I can wear shoes, mostly sneakers for a few weeks. After 10-1/2 weeks, I am driving again. It is good to be able to come and go when I want or need to and not have to ask someone to drive me.
Happy Holiday and have a great week.
