Also, I though I would show some pictures of my 13 year old cat, Leo. I inherited Leo when my Mother passed away.
He is company to me as he enjoyed being in the same room with me.

See you next week.

Nancy's New give-away, new floss boxes, enter now!

Nancy at the Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe New give-away, new floss boxes, enter now!
I am as busy as ever around here. Trying to finish my orders for stitched and framed mottoes and I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am moving everything around in my office/workroom to make room for this whole new line of floss. My goodness....what a challenge!! So I thought I would box up some of the older colors, add a few I never had listed before and make some collections. Here is what I came up with:
Pretty in Pink, all shades of soft pink, cherry pink, coral pink, etc.
Ultimate Browntones, tans, rust, browns, rust, copper, etc.
and The Ultimate Purple Collection with lots of lilacs, purple, variegated and tone on tone colors.
12 skeins, 240 yards per box. I will list these on ebay shortly. Very limited editions.

Blog update

Good morning all.
We are having a short cold front this week. It is in the low 30s but feel much colder here in SE Texas. It is suppose to go up to the 70s by tomorrow, only in Texas.
My busy season has started at work, as I work for a CPA and it is tax time. I have been tired and have not gotten as much stitching done on my WIPs as I would have liked. But, I always say any number of stitches is progress, right.
I did go with my daughter to Alvin, TX on Friday night and watched my granddaughter ride and compete in the YRA youth rodeo. She did really good this week. She placed 8th in pole bending and 11th in barrels. Always love watching her ride. I also enjoyed my Beta Sigma Phi Boots and Bling Valentine Ball on Saturday night. A number of us stay at the hotel on Saturday night after the ball and enjoy breakfast together before going home. The ball started off with a before party, then a cowboy vittles meal, dancing, and an after party. What fun.
Here are my pictures of the WIPs I stitched on this past week and a few from the dance.

1.     The Button Up Birdies #2, January Tree Sparrow and February Whiskey Jack, designed by Cathy Jean for The Victoria Sampler.

January 31, 2016 progress on WIPs

Good Morning,
February 1 here in SE Texas is great, spring weather one day and weather the next day. It is in the 60s this morning and we are due a cold front by Wednesday. Hope are of you effected by the snow and cold weather are safe and warm.
I have had a good month.  First my birthday, then my granddaughter, Anna turned 16 on January 30th. We celebrated at a YRA youth rodeo in Edna, TX. She rides and competes in Pole Bending and Barrel Racing. She is doing really good.
She enjoy it and it very competitive. It is always fun to be able to go and watch her and all of the other youth ride. Mom even brought a cake to the rodeo to enjoy. A sweet 16 party will be next week end. Also, Deb. H, a moderator for Brookes Books yahoo group and her husband, Willie joined us at the rodeo. She had been an online friend of mine for several years and now I have got to meet her in person. We had a great visit and now we can say hello on line to someone we have met in person.
I did make progress on several of my WIPs in my rotation of 15. Here is my progress.
Framed Boots are for walking by Bobby G Designs. This was a birthday gift to my granddaughter
