My daughter, Deanna turned 40 on Saturday April 16. I helped host a party for her at her home. I had her cake done with a picture of her at 6 months. It turned out great. I also stitched LHN Spring, Season of Hope and made a pillow of homespun fabric for it. She loved it and of course wants the other three. We had approx 45 friends and family attending and it was fun. She lives in Richmond, TX. In the picture with me and her are my brother in law and niece.
My sister and Deanna's special aunt passed away last May and is missed a lot.

I also managed to keep my rotation of WIP's going the past week even with work and party planning. I put a few stitchers in The Alphabet Sampler book With My Needle, Pumpkins on a kitchen towel, completed a 4th of July and an Easter Cross to go with the other holiday ornaments that are complete. The Easter Cross will become a greeting card. Also Vermillion Dec Snowman, August Weatherpoem, Noel 2009 SAL(which I am putting on a table runner and a few stitches on a Best Wishes Greeting card.

Happy April Spring Day March 10, 2011

Good morning all from a spring day here in Texas. It was in the low's 90s on Saturday. I am showing off my first bloom this spring on my hibiscus. I live in an apartment and kept it inside all winter. I bought it last spring as a small plant. I don't have much of a green thumb, but sometimes a plant will grow for me. The other plant was brought last spring also, but I didn't think it made it over the winter, but wow, it did.
My rotation this past week included EMS February Violet, With My Needle Alphabet Sampler, LHN Under the Tree ornament, Brooks Stitchers Alphabet, Garden of Joy(Friendly Stitchers SAL 2009)Blossom Tree square and another Christmas Card completed for 2011. Today I am hoping to finish LHN Season of Hope(Spring) which I will put on a pillow for my daughter's birthday April 16th. Also will work on the Alphabeth Sampler this evening.

Happy Spring to all. The weather here in Texas is a little on the cool side, but nice.

We are due rain this morning, which we need badly.

Only a few stitches this past week in my rotation of WIP's. I did get a lot done on my LHN Season of Hope that I am putting on a pillow for my daughter's birthday, april 16. She like all four in the series and of course I love to do stitching for her.

Here are pictures of what I got done last week.Season of Hope LHN, July 4th ornament, Best Wishes greeting card, Alphabet Sample, The Library.

Also Here are some pictures of my cat, Leo, enjoying my attention.
