The Woodland Collection floss give-away, enter now! Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe

The Woodland Collection floss give-away, enter now!
I always have fun putting together new collections because I know I am going to give one away! This set of Wild Strawberries, Blueberries, Elderberries, Wild Grapevines, Hickory Nuts, Wild Acorns, Wild Honey, Wild Grapevines....etc.......was fun to dye and fun to put a collection together. LOTS of variegation in half of these colors. Like the shading in the wild grapevines in the woods, all different shades on the vines. And the same with wild berries as they start to ripen. Many different shades in one bunch.
Primitive and any other type of stitching...you will love this set.
All boxes have 12 skeins, 20 yards each.

Good morning, hope all of you are having a good start of summer.
It has been really hot, in the 90s everyday, with a rain shower here and there.
I have been making progress on my WIPs, even finishing another greeting card and another ornament, while watching the Houston Astros win and win. They have really improved this year.

June Blog Update

It has been a busy June so far for me. Last weekend, I attended the Beta Sigma Phi(an international friends sorority) State convention at Moody Gardens in Galveston, TX. There were 100 + ladies in attendance. A lot of fun, food, and friendship. It had an Hawaiian theme with one activity of decorating flip flops.

Then on Wednesday, I left with my daughter and Granddaughter to go to Gonzales, TX for the YRA youth rodeo finals. It is always fun to watch her and all the youth. She had some great rounds and the there were some that were not as good, but she had fun. She was competing with 50 others girls  in her age bracket. She ended up in 18th place all around. Here is one of my favorite pictures of her and Cochise getting ready for pole bending.
After all the flooding we have had, the Brazos is slowing going down and life is getting back to normal. Now the weather is getting hot, hot, and hotter. Now is the time is stay in and stitch. I have completed a couple of pieces and made progress on others. Here are the pictures.

June Blog Update

At last the Brazos River here in Fort Bend County, Texas is going down. The highest was 54.81 and it is now down to 52.19ft. Flood stage is 45ft, so you can see way we have had so many flooded roads and neighborhoods. My neighborhood levy has held and we have not had any street or area flooding, thank goodness. Here is our main bridge over the Brazos River now and what it usually looks like.
Thanks for all the nice words, prayers, and concerns.
Since, I stayed in a lot, I have been stitching away. I have stitched on several of my 15 rotation this last couple of weeks, yea. Here is the progress on my WIPs;
Snowman and Friends Christmas Stocking – Gold Collection Kit
