Joined in the 2014 Turtle Trot

I am joining in the 2014 Turtle Trot at http://BAP-attack.blogspot.com . It will be fun stitching with others all year. The rules are below, check it out.
Here are the 10 WIPs I will be stitching on.
Rules:
1. You must have a blog, because you'll be posting links to it. If you don't have a blog, you can still work on those old projects, lol. You just won't be eligible for the contest.
2. Pick 10 unfinished projects (why not 14 for 2014? I can't cope with where this will end up - 43 projects in 2043? Yikes)
3. Take a picture of them and make a blog post by the 10th of January.
4. Each month, by the 10th, post whatever progress pics you have.
5. Post a link to your progress post here.

Last Update for 2013

Christmas has come and gone. It was a Happy Time. Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my daughter, Deanna and Grandson, Christopher and Granddaughter, Anna. Then on Christmas Day afternoon, my niece, Kim hosted our family Christmas. It was family fun with food and gifts and a good time. Now to look forward to a great new year with a lot of stitching included. I did complete 33 items in 2013, I have them listed on the side bar. Also, my 2014 stitching goals are listed there too. I received my package of trim, buttons and charms that I won from Victoria Motto Sampler Shoppe, looking forward to using them.
I also received my Secret Santa gift from the Friendly Stitchers group. I received the Brookes, Little Women-Jo March and With My Needle-Friendship Book chart. I am looking forward to stitching both of them. Here are pictures from the week.

Weekly Update

Merry Christmas to all of you. My holiday season has started off great with shopping, spending time with family and parties. My new heading is my Christmas Card received from my daughter and grandkids. I just had to show off the great pictures. What a neat idea to show off a year of activities.
I am still hoping to finish one more ornament and a small picture for gifts. I am also finishing a picture that we found in my sister's stash when she passed away a couple of years ago. It is Wild Cats by Dimensions, a Gold Collection Kit. She had all the cats stitched and only the border left to stitch. I am doing my best to complete the border and it will be a gift to my brother in law. I will post a picture will I complete it today. The border is 2" around the edge. My sister and I always enjoyed stitching together. Also, I have been lucky this past week. First I won "Toy Store" ornament chart-LHN(signed by Diane) from the LHN ornament SAL, Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe 5th Day of Christmas Give a Way(A selection of Trim, buttons & charms) and A Prairie Schooler chart from Heather's blog. A great week for me.

Weekly Update

What a wonderful week I have had. First there were 5 ladies that went on our road trip to the new ABC stitchery shop in Spring, TX. Of course we all added to our stash. It was fun to go to a shop and see the items in person. We have missed our shop in Richmond since it closed. After shopping, we then had lunch and back home(an hour trip). We did a lot of visiting and looking forward to the next time. Then I spent Thanksgiving at my daughter's with family. We ate and played Spades and had a wonderful afternoon together. I have sent my last ornament exchange and Secret Santa Gift off. Now to finish up on a few more ornaments that will be gifts this year. I have given the first ornament- Redbirds Rejoice-Blue Ribbon designs as a gift to the lady I work for. She had commented that she liked an ornament with the date on it each year and of course I date mine. She was proud of it.
I have finished another greeting card-February Doodle-Blueladie Designs. I plan to do the whole year as greeting cards. Check her website out at www.blueladiedesigns.com . Here are my pictures of the completed cards and the WIP items.

Now for some pictures of my Granddaughter competing with The Rusty Spurs Riding Club.
