Weekly update

Good morning all my stitching and quilting and crafting friends. Our weather here in my part of Texas is having a cold front. 30s,40s at night and 50s,60s during the day. The sun comes out and makes the days really nice. I work as a tax preparer for a CPA, so my job is now getting busy, so my stitching is my way of relaxing in the evenings. Tuesday evenings finds me at my LNS(Creative Stitchery) stitching with other stitches, enjoying an evening of wine and stitching. This past week I stitched on a model, and a piece that a lady has commissioned me to finish. She started it 32 years ago and has now decided to have someone finish it for her. Also, stitched on several of my WIPs in my rotation. Also, I have joined a few others ladies on Fridays stitching a SAL The Halloween. Monday evenings is still Lizzie Kate day and my ABCs of Aging Artfully is getting there. Here are pictures of my progress last week.

2012 TUSAL update

I joined in with a group of stitches to show off my TUSAL on each new Moom. The first being Jan. 23, 2012. It is interesting to see what colors I have been using this year so far. Sharon @ http://itsdaffycat.blogspot.com is the moderator of this 2012 TUSAL.
I use my TUSAL threads to fill small glass ornaments at Christmas for gifts and tags.
Happy stitching.

Weekly Update

I was on the road coming home on Sunday, so was to tired to post last evening when I did get home.
I went to my 92 year old Aunts graveside services on Saturday in Killeen, Texas. She was the last child in my Mother's family(5 girls and 1 boy) to pass. Auntie never had children, so her 5 nieces and 1 nephew were her children. We spent many summer with her and Unc. We cousins had a good time later on remembering good time spent growing up with her. I am now the oldest in our family tree on both my Father's and Mother's tree.
I didn't get to stitch Sat or Sunday, hopefully, I will have more time to stitch this week. Here are pictures of my WIP pieces that I did stitch on last week:
The Alphebet Samplings Book-With My Needle
 ABCs of Aging Artfully-Lizzie Kat
 November Snowman-Vermillion
 The Halloween House-U Michaels
Myself and my cousins. We are the new generation of my Mother's family-the Storys.
Happy stitching,

I won a Pay It Forward Challenge

I won a Pay It Forward Challenge!

Magee posted on her http://stitchingdevotee.blogspot.com  about doing a PIF (Pay It Forward). And I won! So, what do I have to do? I will have to send at least 5 stitching accessories to 2 other persons within a year. It can be any combination of things, such as threads, buttons, trims, needles, pins, whatever! So easy!! And I have decided to start the new year by personally asking two fellow stitchers to be my recipients! As a recipient, you must also agree to do the same to two others, and post about it on YOUR blog. So, I will be emailing two lucky recipients tonight!
(An example of some accessories that can be sent in this PIF) Gee, I hope they want to play with me!!

What fun! Comment and I will pick two of you in a week.

Happy New Year to all of you stitchers and your families.
Wow, here it is, Jan 8, 2012. I did get a little stitching in this past week, even with life getting in the way. I also won a chart of my liking from BlueLadies designs.

They are: Dear Mama, Love Sarah: Did you Hear Me Cry? and The Sotweed Smuggler. Let me know if you read them and your review and I will pass them on to "Bobbie".
