Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe eighth-day-of-christmas-giveaway.html

http://victorianmottosamplershoppe.blogspot.com/2016/12/eighth-day-of-christmas-giveaway.html
On the Eighth Day of Christmas,  this give-away will be for two charts of mine. Lets have two winners and each one will get a chart. Jingle as Ye Enter, Jingle as Ye go which makes an adorable door hanger or wall hanging. It also comes with a free ornament pack. The birds are holding small brass bells hanging from a piece of floss in their beaks. I display mine every Christmas. As a companion chart I made a primitive Merry Christmas chart called Decorating the Tree. Cute little birds decorating this tree and as a bonus for both charts I am including all the over dyed floss and bells!

Our weather here in SE Texas is due for a freeze by the end of the week. It is to be 70 degrees this afternoon. making it a great time to do a little Christmas Shopping. Since I stitch and make most of my gifts, I need to do only a little shopping, yea. I have taken part in a few ornament exchange this year and has sent and received great ornaments. One of them was an unfinished ornament exchange. You sent a stitched ornament and the backing fabric let you partner finish it. What fun. I received a very pretty ornament from my exchange partner, Mary and finished it like this:

I then gifted it to a friend that quilts, who was thrilled to receive it.

This is the Fall ornament that I sent to Mary and the finished ornament by Mary. The design is by Blueladie Designs.
Then in another exchange, my partner Deb received the Snow Cold ornament by LittleHouse Needleworks and the extra goodies.

I received the cutest bear santa ornament, tea light ornament and great goodies from Deb.

Happy Thanksgiving and blog update

Wishing all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I will be enjoying Thanksgiving with my family at my Nephew and his family at their new home in the country.
I have been stitching on ornaments for Christmas gifts and the final fourth Little Women in the series for my niece. Therefore, my usual rotation of 15 has been a little slow right now. I have also been in 3 ornament exchanges and loving it. First Friendly Stitchers group has an unfinished ornament exchange and what fun. My partner was Mary and this is what I got from her and what I sent to Mary.
She sent several options for finishing and here is how I finished it.

This is what I sent to Mary and the backing to go with it.
This is the ornament and the card and goodies I sent my partner in the 123 stitched group

This is the ornament and goodies I received from my partner. The stitched piece inside of the watch is so neat. It makes me want to do a few of them.

This is the progress on Amy , the fourth one in the Little Women Series by Bookes Books that I am stitching for my niece. This series has been fun to stitch as the colors are so great.
Also, finished another sled ornament "The Church" by Foxwood Crossings and made it into an ornament. I donated it to my friends Church Bazaar.
Here are the two ornaments that I am stitching on for gifts this year.
This is Christmas 2014 Doodle by Blueladie Designs
This one is: Christmas Cheer by Country Cottage Needleworks
I ever put a few stitchers in a few WIPs from my rotation.
Snowman and Friends Christmas stocking-Gold Collection Kit
This is the July Calendar Girl by Little House Needleworks
Robin with nest -Button Up Birdes 3 by Cathy @Victoria Sampler
Now for stitching today.
Happy a great week.

Blog Update including finishes

October has come and gone and now it is November. Enjoying seeing all the fall and Thanksgiving decorations including all of the wonderful Cross stitching finishes. There are so many great stitchers around to enjoy their stitching. I have finished a couple of more ornaments that will be Christmas Gifts. I have a few more to go yet.
Here are the ones that I have finished:
Beth-Little Women Series by Bookes Books is now on its way to the framer. It has a place reserved on the wall. This is my niece that I am stitching them for. She is excited for the complete set.

Sled ornaments by Foxwood Crossing. They are quick to stitch and make great gifts.

This is "October Weather Poem" by Sue Cook and were in the 2000 issues of Britian's #1 Cross Stitch Magazine. I have completed 5 and have 7 to go.

The few WIPs I managed to stitch a few stitches on were:
Texas Cowboy Boot-The 12 days of a Texas Christmas by Redbird Designs.

This is the August Baseball Snowman by Vermillion.
Can you see the glove?
Time to get busy and stitch the evening away.
Have a great week all.
