Grow Your Blog!!! 2015 party

http://vicki-2bagsfull.blogspot.co.nz/2015/01/welcome-to-2015-grow-your-blog-party.html
Vicki is hosting a Grow Your Blog!!! party each year. There are over 400 blogs taking part this year. What A great way to meet new friends! This will be my second year joining in on the fun. I will have a give a way on Feb. 15th which will be a surprise package of assorted items. Just comment and let me know if you want a chance for it.

I started my blog a few years ago and have met so many great friends that love to share their life of family and hobbies with others. I love to cross stitch, create handmade cards, scrapbook, family history, reading, and spending time with my grandkids and other family members and friends.
I enjoy the computer and spend time checking out facebook, other blogs, and keeping up with all.

Cross Stitch is my way of relaxing and letting all the world go by. My family and friends look forward to receiving my cross stitch gifts and handmade cards. I enter in our Fort Bend County Fair every fall. I have a rotation of 16 projects that I stitch on a regular basic. I update my blog each week with my progress of the 16 projects.
I do still work part time as a tax preparer and accountant. It helps keep me young?
Here are a few of my projects from this past year.
This was The Alphabet Sampler by With My Needle. I made the cover of put the 16 pages together myself, a first.
This is one of my all time favorite's Redbirds by Marie Barber, Just Cross Stitch Magazine nov/dec 2011
I also purchased the PC Stitch software and tried my designing out. My granddaughter, Anna, rides and competes in rodeos. This was her first horse 3 years ago. I chose brown corduroy for the pillow.

I am now stitching on her second horse Cochise.

That's it, thanks for stopping by and I would love to have you become a follower.
Enjoy.

Hello Joyce

I'm one of Vicki's 40 helpers and I would like to welcome you to this years Grow Your Blog party - it's lovely to meet you.
Could I just ask you to add Vicki's link below to the Grow Your Blog image on your post - and include her full link as follows:
http://vicki-2bagsfull.blogspot.co.nz/2015/01/welcome-to-2015-grow-your-blog-party.html
This is so that anyone can go back to Vicki's party post where all the participants are displayed.

It's lovely to meet you here and hear all about your beautiful crossstitch.
The red birds is a beauty indeed! And what a work of art the horse is!

I have crossstitch Christmas stockings for my three granddaughters and enjoyed that immensely!

Enjoy the party and have fun meeting new stitchers!

Hugs

Hello again Joyce

Thanks for that - all good now!

It's lovely to meet another Septuagenarian in blogland and especially as you - like me - are still in the work force!!!

I belong to a little embroidery group and enjoy our fortnightly get togethers!

I'm now following you and once the party is over I'll pop back to see how you are!

Hugs
Shane

HI Joyce Good day! I'm here from Australia admiring your cross stitched red birds, you have captured your grand daughters horse really well. I am sure your family are thrilled with all your gifts

I have enjoyed cross stitch but not for a few years, I'm afraid the computer and blogging has taken over that gap in my life :) But you never know I am sure I will return to it!
Very nice to meet you
Wren x

Hello Joyce,
Dropping by on the GYB party. I've enjoyed a look around your blog- you have many lovely projects on the go. I'm a stitcher too, but haven't done much lately (too many hobbies - trying to juggle them all!!)
Have fun with GYB!

your cross stitch of your daughters horse is a really good likeness. What a lovely way to personalise your craft and immortalise something so close to your family.
