update on stitching and life.

The last two weeks have been really busy with work, family, youth rodeos, stitching, and helping get ready for our Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo here in Texas. I have been able to go to most of the YRA and Texas High School rodeos since the new season started the first of September and watch my 15 year old granddaughter ride and compete. She will ride and compete in the rodeo at the fair tonight. I volunteer in the Open Adult (Creative Arts) Building. We took entries on Wed and Thursday with judging being Thursday afternoon. I of course enter some of my work. Here are pictures of before, during and after the judging of the setup. The fair started on Friday and will go thru Oct 4. Of course, I enter a few items. I won a rosette and blue ribbon on a collection of my handmade cards and  blue ribbon on a set of monthly calendars in the Arts and Crafts division, a blue ribbon on my first pair of glasses(from 1946) in the antiques division, 5 blue ribbons in the Holiday division, and 4 blue ribbons in Needlework and Cross stitch division. Here are some pictures I have taken so far.

I also have done a little stitching on a couple of WIPs and have started Wine Glass by Mill Hill. I want to do several of the Wine Glass for gifts.

  1.     October  Weather Poems-Sue Cook-Britian’s #1 Crossstitch Magazine-2000 issues

I also finished stitching Texas Signs of Spring, Redbird Designs and will put it on a pillow, picture next week.

More pictures of the fair next week.
