RE: May 8, 2011

I finished a Thanksgiving table runner which is a gift to my niece. This was started by my younger and only sister who passed away May 20, 2010 with ovarian cancer. The cancer was only discovered in Mary of 2010 and it took her quickly and unexpectly. She is missed a lot.

This is my 10th Christmas Card completed for 2011. I am excited that I am getting them done for this year's holiday.
This is The Alphabet Sampler Book by With My Needle. I am doing it on 18 ct linen(my first time on linen). There will be 16 pages in all. I am excited that I have completed 1 page of it.
This is my first time to try 28 ct. I am in awe that I am stitching it. I Think it is coming along ok.
This is a kitchen towel with pumpklins that again was started by my sister.

I am now doing a halloween ornament from this patter book.
My next square completed is a garden bench. This is a 2009 SAL with Friendly Stitchers Group.
I also started an ornament for my May-July exchange. I will picture it after my partner receiveds it.
Happy Mothers Day to All.

Joyce,
The tablerunner is lovely! And it's great that you are keeping up with the C-mas cards. I'm intrigued by the Alphabet Sampler, think I'll have to track that one down! Great update, dear!

Wow, you have a lot in progress. I like your projects. The table runner is beautiful, and I'm glad you finished it for your sister. No one else in my family stitches, so I'm leaving all my stitchy stuff to a friend. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. It must be hard to lose a sibling, especially so quickly. I will say a prayer for your family.
