Weekly Updated Blog

This past week, we have had our summer rain storms and hot weather here in Texas. I stitched a lot it seems this week and also finished a couple of items that were waiting for me to finish.
Granddaughter , Anna, went to church camp this past week. Our First United Methodist church camp , Lakeview, is in Palestine, TX and holds a lot of memories for me. I went there in the 50's, my daughter went in the 70s and now both Christopher and Anna, (grandkids) have gone.
I have stitched the first three months of the flower series by Ellen Maurer Stroh and thought I would use them on a birthday calendar. Instead I saw a pillow with an piece put on it that I really liked, so I tried it.
I also finished the Hallelujah ornament by Littlehouse Needleworks last week and now have made it into an ornament.
Also, finished stitched the letter "F" of the Stitcher's Alphabet by Brooks Books. I am stitching them on an afghan.

Here are the WIP's I stitched on this past week;
1.     Noel 2009 Sal-Novalee2.Com
Christmas Angels“ CHRISTMAS CARD #1 Heavenly Host” Collection(4)-Joan Elliott

1.     Garden Of Joy-Friendly Stitchers Sal 2009 -completed  37 Squares Of 52

1.     Red Birds-Marie Barber-Just Cross Stitch Magazine Nov/Dec Issue 2011

1.     Snowman and Friends Christmas Stocking – Gold Collection Kit

Enjoy summer and get a lot stitching done.

Beautiful Stitching, the stocking is looking great.

This may be a stupid question, but why did Brooke put an "A" in the middle of Fair Isle?
