Weekly Update
Good morning all,
My week was slow up until Saturday. Then my chapter, Alpha Theta Masters of Beta Sigma Phi, had our beginning day luncheon to start our new year off. It was held at the Junior League of Houston and was great. I have a final(hopefully) doctor's appointment on Monday Morning and hopefully will start driving and wearing my sandals again. I did get a few stitchers in several of my WIPS and did get my Map of Texas completed. Now to back it with the Texas fabric and add the rope for a wall hanging. My Grandson, Christopher, will be 18 on Sept. 3 and he had picked the Map of Texas out and asked if I could stitch it for him. I plan on finishing it this afternoon, so next week will have a picture of it completed. Here are my pictures of the Map of Texas and the WIP progress for the week.

Weekly Update
Good morning all,
We are getting a little rain that we do need. Now that the olymics are over, I am back to watching my baseball and preseason football and stitching. My team The Astros is all new young men and they are having a hard time this year, but I am still a very much fan and pulling for them. The Texans, our Houston football team had their second preseason game last night. They are starting off good. As you can tell, I am a sports fan and enjoy all sports. I am able to get some stitching done in the evenings after work while enjoying the games. Here are pictures of my weekly stitching on WIPs. Enjoy and as always, love your comments. The pictures are a little dark, as I took the pictures before the sun was up this morning and it was a little cloudy.

Weekly Update
Good morning,
Update on my foot; went to the doctors last Monday and got a good report. The toe is healing, but just not there yet. It seems we older people take longer to heal. I now have a boot to wear for three weeks, but no driving yet. Thank goodness, I have a driver when needed. Have gotton some stitching done as I watched the olymic games each and every night. Go USA, good job. I am now watching the USA men's basketball finals. Here are pictures of my WIP progress for the week. As always, I enjoy your comments, you are all so nice with your comments.

Weekly Update
First, I go to the doctor's on Monday Morning. Off with the cast and walking(I hope). What a past two months. Who would have thought a toe could give you so much trouble, but it is not going to stop me. With this surgery, it is going to help me later in life, so I will be around to stitch more of what is in my stash.
Even with a cast on my leg and using a walker, I was able to go and watch my grandkids in their latest Foster FFA progress showing their pigs. What a great day, Saturday. Christopher(17 and Anna(12) showed their pigs(Peaches and Shiner) in the same weight class. What fun watching brother and sister compete with each other along with several other pigs. End results, Anna won 1st with Peaches and Christopher won 2nd with Shiner. Then in Junior Showmanship, Anna won Grand Champion and in Senior Showmanship, Christopher won Grand Campion. All in all, what a great day. Now they will get ready for our Fort Bend County Fair the end of September. Here are a few pictures from the day.

I received the neatest package this week. I took part in a PIF this year and received my PIFpackage
from Magge Smith at http://stitchingdevotee.blogspot.com She stitched me a little pillow that is just so neat and pretty. Here is a picture of all I received.
I also take part in a quarterly ornament exchange with Christmas Ornament Crafters. I received two really neat ornaments made from bottle caps.
