Sarah’s “S”-Jim Shore, Book of Monograms.
My niece, Sarah , asked me to stitch her letter in shades of brown.
In May, my sorority (Beta Sigma Phi) chapter hosted a Texas Bluebonnet Preakness Party at a local wine room. 16 of us enjoyed a glass or 2 of wine and enjoyed a lot of friendship. We had a hat contest that was a lot of fun and even bet on a horse to win.
Then the first weekend in June, I went with my daughter and granddaughter to Texarkana, Arkansas for the National Qualifier Rodeo, competing in barrel racing. My granddaughter did very well, but didn't make the top. She ended up in 24th out of 45 girls, only .9 seconds behind the leader.
A lot of great girls running.
Then on June 14, I went with them again to Gonzales, Texas for the YRA rodeo finals for the year.
My granddaughter, Anna, did really good. She ended up in 11th place in pole bending and 15th in barrel racing. It was fun and this year we had a group of young people from Australia join in.
They were a fun group and enjoyed competing with their Texas friends. The pictures are from the grand entry before the rodeo
Have a great summer.
