My 71st Birthday, Jan 11, 2011
Always be young, that way you can enjoy life forever. I had a nice day on Tuesday. Did some stitching last evening, finishing a kitchen towel with a rooster(picture coming). This towel has good memories as it was started by my sister, Sue. She passed away suddenly at 66 last May.
I inherited a lot of stash and WIP to complete in her memory.
Happy stitching

What a great day it is! I have turned 71 today and it is a pretty day, even if it is cold here in Texas. It is 12 noon and it is 41 degrees and the sun is shinning. I am at work today, but enjoying lunch at the computer. My daughter, Deanna, Grandson, Christopher, and Granddaughter, Anna had flowers delivered this morning. They are pretty shades of pink and green. Will take a picture and post tomorrow. I have received a lot of wishes on my facebook and stitchery groups and have enjoyed reading all of them.
Happy stitching and many happy days in the future.

My Grandson , Christopher and his steer TEX
My grandkids are into the FFA program. Christopher raised a pig last year and Anna raised a goat. They both made the auction on the county fair last Oct. We were so proud of them since it was the first year for both. This year christopher(16) has a steer and Anna(10)
will have a pig. Saturday was the first FFA progress show for this year. Christopher placed third in his group. In the picture is one of his friends cheering him on as he prepares to show.
Anna will get her pig in the spring. The Fort Bend County fair here is at the end of Sept.
Happy stitching and hug someone today and every day.

New Years Eve 2010
2010 Stockings for Christopher and Anna
Stockings for grandkids, Christopher and Anna.
Anna's is UP UP and AWAY by donna Kooler and Christopher wanted a John deere, so I used a free design I had found on the internet.
My sewing machine bobbin broke when I was working on finishing Christopher's, so it is only hand sewed, to be finished after New Year's.
First posting of new blog
This is my first try of a blog. I enjoy reading all blogs and hope to be able to contribute to my blog in such a way that it will be enjoyed by all. I have joined the WIP challenge for 2011 , so will post pictures as I make progress on them.
Today, January 1st I am stitching on The Library by LHN.
Happy stitching for the new year of 2011.
