Weekly Update

Happy Holidays to all. I love this season. Our weather has even gotten a little cooler, 40s in the night and 70s during the day. I spent Thanksgiving at my Niece's, Kim, home. It was a small group as my brother in law and nephew went hunting. I enjoyed spending the day with my daughter, grandson, granddaughter, niece, and great niece. We had a turkey with all the trimming and side dishes, including pumpkin pie and cake. Then we watched our Houston Texans win another football game, now 10-1 for the season. I am working on setting up my own tax and bookkeeping service. As I have said I worked the last 10 years as a tax preparer, so I do have some knowledge of  taxes. I have enjoyed having the time to stitch and not having a lot of stress in my life.
Linda, you asked about the designer of the bows I made for one of my exchanges. The designs were from a Bucilla-Merry Bows Kit. I stitched several large and small bows a few years ago and love the patterns. I enjoyed the patterns and have used the designs several times for different projects.
I did finish the Nutcracker ornament that I will donate as a door prize at a March of the Nutcrackers Luncheon in Dec.

Weekly Update

Good morning to all my fellow stitchers and crafters. We have had a great week here with the weather in the high 30s at night and 70s during the day, with the sun shining. This is our fall.
Still Job looking, but enjoying my time relaxing and stitching and card making.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. Here is my WIPS for the week. Progress has been made. We have a great scrapbooking store, Archivers, near me in Katy, Texas. They have great classes and will help you with any problems or questions. I did manage to attend one of the Christmas Card Classes and enjoyed it. I try to make just enough handmade cards for family and close friends each year. There are not enough hours to do all the crafts I want. Crossstitching is my favorite as you can tell.
Also, received a Christmas Card exchange from my partner in Ireland and I sent one to France. What fun.

Weekly Update

Happy Veterans Day. Remember to give thanks for all of the men and women serving in troops all over the world. Also, all of the ones that have served in the past.
No job yet, but continuing to look. Went to the doctor for a check up last week, blood pressure back to normal, cholesterol lower than even before, under 200. I guess that shows I have a lot less stress in my life now.  Have been enjoying my time with family and friends. Since our LNS is closing, there are no more stitchins at the shop. One of the ladies from the Saturday stitch in decided that she didn't want the group to fell by the wayside and had it at her home on Saturday. There were 5 of us and what fun. We stitched and talked all morning. Have stitched all week and made progress on a number of my WIPs. Also finished and mailed 6 exchanges and received one this week. Here are pictures.
